The Challenge

A client came to us looking for help bringing their travel-themed strategy board game concept to life.

 

  • Gameplay and components needed playtesting to ensure optimal play experience and clear instructions 

 

  • All graphical elements had to be created with consistent travel imagery across ticket cards, card boxes, game box, game board, and all other components   

 

  • Overall design and style of game should evoke a timeless, worn-in world traveler vibe

 

The Solution

Combining our team’s graphic expertise with our shared love of travel and board games, this project was a true delight for us. We orchestrated multiple rounds of playtesting, designed a suite of complementary graphics for the game’s card decks, and ensured a cohesive final product.  

 

  • Extensive playtesting of multiple iterations of the game board and instructions ensures streamlined gameplay and concise language with helpful supporting imagery for peak enjoyment
     

  • From game logo to card icons, package graphics to instruction manual, card boxes to game board, our team’s work creating a coherent look across the game’s printed components provides a seamless visual experience

 

  • Building on the client’s idea to use a suitcase as a game box, our graphical style creates a world-traveled, vintage look that fits the overall game concept
