The Challenge
A client came to us requesting help transforming existing game content into a templated design for easily replicable future games.
-
As part of a social game concept consisting of digitally-downloadable printable stickers, the client requested a template to easily change text and themes for several games in their product line
-
The client needed help learning and mastering the new template process
-
Due to the nature of games being played in person with a QR code component, client wanted help creating website content to link the experiences together
The Solution
Our team managed the creative design, laid out all the cards for two versions of a game, created a fully integrated system to allow client autonomy for future versions, and enabled the client to control the printing process after the first production run. We stepped in to assist in an area of our expertise, allowing the client to focus on their strengths.
-
We designed a downloadable sticker template for customers to print on Avery labels at home or purchase pre-printed stickers. We also created a template with interchangeable color and pattern options so the client can create other themed versions of sticker games. We used this method to design additional client-managed templates for separate game concepts on standard play cards and using name tags.
-
Our team provided training on using data merge to populate Adobe InDesign templates directly from a client-editable spreadsheet
-
After determining the brand’s color palette, we provided CMYK and RGB breakdowns for the client’s web developers and updated their logo to a web-ready version. We also created web images of each sticker and card for a landing page when scanning QR codes.
In addition to the development of a robust template and training for client’s subsequent editions, we’re happy to provide a streamlined process. We love using our creative problem solving to promote efficiency and save our clients time. They need that time to think up the next big idea! We’re already seeing new game concepts pop up on their website based on the templates we helped create!
